Outing 7 took us to the fabulous trappings at Deer Park Golf Club.

Numbers were down , but standard of play was up ( in most cases ) , and 9 players took to the tee on a sunny Thursday morning.

It was quite a big day as the Champion Golfer Of The Year Trophy was up for grabs, and with three players in with a shout there was everything to play for.

Playing off 3/4 handicap was never going to be easy , but it certainly focused the mind on our 9 merry band, and some excellent stableford points were acrued , with Roger Senior winning the day and the P.R.A.G.S Trophy with a very creditable 33points, a whole 6 points ahead of second placed Antony Pleasance.

Roger Senior was one of the golfers who could catch pacesetter Ron Duncan atop the leaderboard , but alas his valiant effort was in vain as top dog Mr.Duncan waltzed away with the Champion Golfer Of The Year Trophy
